Xeinadin Corporate Finance has successfully advised Gloucestershire-based Cantilever Bars Systems (“Cantilever”) on its transition to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), empowering its employees and positioning the company for long-term success.
Cantilever, The Bar Specialists, designs, manufactures, and installs high-performance bars across the UK and internationally. The company has commissioned bars for several high-profile clients, including Chateau Denmark, where they designed bars for the award-winning Thirteen and Dial8; Dishoom; and ‘The Maesto’ Salvatore Calabrese, the world-renowned, award-winning bartender and consultant.
With a strong commitment to operational excellence, the company’s ownership has now shifted to an EOT, making its employees the beneficial owners. This transition aligns with Cantilever’s goal of creating a sustainable, employee-focused future.
The Trustees overseeing the EOT include John Ward, who will remain as Managing Director, alongside Charlotte Payne, Jane Bladwell, and Tim Dipple, an independent trustee from Xeinadin. Together, they will guide the trust to ensure it reflects the best interests of both the employees and the company.
John Ward, Managing Director of Cantilever, commented:
“This transition represents an exciting new chapter for Cantilever Bars. It’s about creating lasting opportunities for our employees and ensuring the long-term stability of the business.
We’re looking forward to moving ahead together.”
Paul Whitney, Partner and Head of Corporate Finance at Xeinadin, added:
“We congratulate Cantilever Bars on this significant move to Employee Ownership. It’s a testament to the company’s dedication to its employees and long-term growth. Employee ownership continues to grow in popularity in the UK, offering a smoother succession process and greater business stability.
We’re proud to have supported Cantilever in this transition and wish them every success moving forward.”
Xeinadin Corporate Finance’s Paul Whitney and Nathan Clark led the advisory services, with Chris Watson providing tax support, Tim Dipple offering accounting advice, and Christian Mancier from Gorvins Solicitors handling legal matters.
This transaction marks a strong beginning to the year for the Xeinadin Corporate Finance team, further demonstrating their presence in the market.
