Xeinadin, one of the leading professional services firms in the UK and Ireland, has announced the acquisition of three prominent accountancy practices in the South of England: Marden & Co, Mackenzies Accountants Limited and TaxAgility. This series of acquisitions, following the addition of Sheil Kinnear in May, brings the total to 23 in the past two years, underscoring Xeinadin’s ambitious growth plans and its commitment to becoming the most trusted advisor for business owners.
A recent Xeinadin survey of 1,000 SMEs across the UK revealed the South of England as a hotspot for small business growth, with over half (52%) of SMEs in London and the South reporting revenue increases in the past 12 months. Xeinadin is tapping into the South as a thriving hub for SME growth, ensuring small businesses continue to grow and navigate their business and financial journeys through both successes and challenges.
Derry Crowley, CEO of Xeinadin, added, “Welcoming Marden & Co, Mackenzies, and TaxAgility to Xeinadin marks another key milestone in our growth strategy. These firms, trusted partners to local businesses, align perfectly with our mission to deliver personalised, future-focused tax and business advice to SMEs. We look forward to working closely with their teams and leveraging our collective strengths to better serve our clients.”
Joining Xeinadin, the three well-established general practice firms will gain significant additional resources, including centralised back-office support and the power of a collaborative international group. This integration will provide access to market-changing insights, ensuring their clients remain competitive and well-equipped to handle increasing regulatory complexities.
Donovan Crutchfield, Managing Director at TaxAgility, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “We are delighted to be joining Xeinadin and look forward to sharing knowledge and best practices, strengthening our service portfolio, and improving our processes and infrastructure.”
Venetia Smith, Managing Director at Mackenzies, added, “The expertise and resources Xeinadin brings will benefit both our clients and team while allowing us to remain central to our local business community. Finding the right partner was crucial, and we are delighted to become part of Xeinadin.”
Bernard Marchant, Managing Director at Marden & Co, commented, “We are thrilled about the opportunities this transition to Xeinadin brings and are confident it will benefit all our clients. Our commitment to providing exceptional service remains our top priority.”
Xeinadin is a multidisciplinary business advisory and accountancy group with over 135 offices and over 2,000 employees in the UK and Ireland. The teams at the three firms – Marden & Co based in Surrey, Mackenzies on the Isle of Wight and TaxAgility in Richmond, London – will continue to operate under the leadership of the companies’ Managing Directors.
