Xeinadin, one of the leading professional services firms in the UK & Ireland, has made a significant acquisition with the addition of Irish accountancy & wealth management firm Quintas.

The agreement, which marks the largest firm by headcount to join Xeinadin since private equity investment from Exponent in May 2022, increases Xeinadin’s headcount in Ireland by 18% to 455 employees across 30 locations. Its total headcount across the UK and Ireland is now 1850.

Based in Cork City, Quintas was established in 2005 and currently has a team of 70. The accountancy and tax firm specialises in corporate finance, banking, debt resolution and insolvency, and mergers and acquisitions for SMEs and owner-managed and family businesses.

Other Irish firms within Xeinadin include Crowley & McCarthy in Clonakilty, BCC Accountants in County Meath, and Tynan Dillon in Dublin.

This is the 13th acquisition announced by Xeinadin since Exponent’s investment and a key milestone in the firm’s expansion via both acquisition and organic growth. The move continues the expansion of Xeinadin’s footprint and brings additional expertise into the firm whilst maintaining its focus on becoming the most trusted advisor for founder-owned businesses.

Xeinadin says the agreement demonstrates that the firm is increasingly an attractive partner for larger firms across the UK and Ireland.

Xeinadin CEO Derry Crowley said: “This is a landmark partnership for us and a clear demonstration of our appeal to firms seeking to benefit from increased breadth and depth of expertise, continuous digital transformation, centralised back-office support and investment in operations, technology and infrastructure. We were impressed by the strong reputation and reach of Quintas in Ireland, as well as their ethos and client-focused solutions and we look forward to working with them as part of the senior leadership team for Xeinadin Ireland.”

Quintas Managing Partner Paul O’Connell said: “Today marks the latest exciting phase in the Quintas journey. As part of our continued ambition, we are joining Xeinadin. Our clients will benefit from this move through centralised resources, new data-driven technologies, and enhanced core services such as business advisory.

“Xeinadin shares our vision of delivering the highest standard of business advisory and accountancy services for SMEs and owner-managed businesses across the UK and Ireland. Leveraging the resources and expertise of both organisations, we are now even better placed to protect and grow the business of our clients.”

Xeinadin has over 130 locations across the UK and Ireland and provides over 40 service lines to over 60,000 clients, predominantly small and medium sized businesses and their owner-managers. A fast-growing, acquisitive firm, it is one of the professional services market’s leading businesses, with more than 1,800 employees.
